Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
How can we help you?
The team at C4th Dental Centre puts a high value on patient education. We believe that patients who are better informed about dentistry are better able to take care of their oral health. They can also make better decisions about treatment options when issues arise. For your convenience, we have included some of the common questions we hear below. But if your question is not here, we invite you to give us a call and ask.
The best way to find out if your teeth and gums are healthy is to visit your dentist every six months for check-ups and cleans. Some dental conditions, such as gum disease, are often present with no symptoms at all, so people don’t get treatment until the condition has progressed.
At C4th Dental Centre, we want you to have access to excellent dental care, and to that end, we accept many different forms of payment. Please feel free to contact one of our friendly team members should you have any further questions.
- Insurance and Government Schema—For all our private health fund members, we offer HICAPS so you can avoid the hassle of making a claim yourself.
- Child Dental Benefits Schedule government schema (CDBS)
We also accept the following for payment:
- Mastercard
- Visa
- American Express
- EFTPOS
In addition, we offer patients the option of going with our in-house payment plan when their treatment includes complex procedures. We welcome you to call one of our friendly team members for more information on our in-house payment plan.
To make it easier to fit dental appointments into busy family schedules, we offer evening hours three days per week. Our dental clinic hours are as follows:
Monday: 8:30am to 7:00pm
Tuesday: 8:30am to 7:00pm
Wednesday: closed
Thursday: 8:30am to 7:00pm
Friday: 8:30am to 2:30pm
We invite you to give us a call when you are ready to arrange a booking. We welcome patients from Seaforth, NSW as well as the surrounding areas of Balgowlah, Clontarf, Manly Vale and other areas in Sydney.
The best way to find out if your teeth and gums are healthy is to visit your dentist every six months for check-ups and cleans. Some dental conditions, such as gum disease, are often present with no symptoms at all, so people don’t get treatment until the condition has progressed.
You can improve your oral hygiene by taking good care of your tooth at home, including twice-a-day brushing and once-a-day flossing. Because prevention is key to good oral health, regular check-ups and cleans at your dentist will also help you stay on top of your dental care.
We also invite you to talk to Dr Lincoln Huang and any of our experienced, friendly team members if you have questions about your oral health. Patients who are educated about proper oral hygiene tend to enjoy better oral health because they know how to take good care of their teeth and gums. We are happy to advise you on proper home care and to design a treatment programme based on your individual needs.
Are you overdue for a biannual check-up and routine clean? We warmly welcome new patients to our Seaforth, NSW dental clinic, and we look forward to seeing you and your entire family.
Even if you are not experiencing dental pain or any other issues, it’s still crucial that you visit the dentist every six months for examinations and cleans. The key to good oral health is preventing problems from occurring in the first place, and the best way to do this is with biannual visits with the dentist.
There is no better way to emphasise this point than with an illustrative example: It’s been a while since your last dental examination, but you seem to be experiencing no dental issues. You are also a diligent brusher and flosser. You decide to skip your next couple of dental appointments.
Suddenly, you awaken one morning with toothache. As you go about your day, the pain gets worse and worse. Soon, it is practically unbearable, so you decide it’s time to call the dentist. Your dentist tells you that a root canal is needed to treat an infection deep within the root of our tooth. A large cavity has been forming for a while, and now bacteria has seeped into the tooth root.
If you had stayed current with scheduled visits to the dentist, chances are your dentist would have discovered a tiny bit of tooth decay and filled it—and you might have been able to avoid root canal treatment altogether.
Whether it’s been six month or six years since your last check-up and clean, we invite you to contact our Seaforth, NSW dental clinic.

When you first enter our Seaforth, NSW dental clinic, you’ll be greeted by one of our friendly team members. If you’ve already filled out your paperwork ahead of time, you’ll simply check in and wait a moment or two until one of our staff brings you back to the treatment area. If you haven’t yet filled out your paperwork, be sure to arrive a few minutes early to handle that portion of your visit.
After speaking with you about your oral health reviewing your medical history and answering any questions you might have, Dr Lincoln Huang will conduct a tooth-by-tooth oral examination to assess the health of your teeth and gums. He will also examine the soft tissues of your mouth, looking for anything that looks out of the ordinary. We will also assess the health of your gums, looking for any signs of periodontal disease. We might also recommend digital x-rays so Dr Huang can see any issues that are still lying below the surface.
If you have made arrangements ahead of time for a dental clean, Dr Huang will handle that portion of your visit. If we detect any signs of gum disease, we might schedule you for a deep cleaning at another time.
